Are you about to move to Headingley? Or want to find new things to do in this great location, then this blog is for you. We will be telling you about all the great places in Headingley to spend your weekends or for some weeknight entertainment.
Let’s start off with the fantastic array of pubs in the area. From far Headingley which is the home of Woodies, New Inn, and Three Horse Shoes to further central where you can find Taps, Oak, Skyrack and many more. The pub have some great weekday student offers like a £2.50 pint you can find at Oak and Taps. Alongside these great deals the pubs in Headingley also hold quiz and karaoke nights; discussed further in our previous blog Best Student Pubs and Bars in Headingley.
If you’re not big on pubs and drinking or just fancy something different, Headingley is also surrounded by some great walking locations. In close proximity to Roundhay Park, Eccup Reservoir, and Golden Acre Park. Each of these locations are a great option for a day out, however, if you don’t fancy driving somewhere, Meanwood park is also a lovely walk and much closer to home.
Headingley is also a hive for independent and chain restaurants, with a range of cuisines. From Jinos Thai to Da Bega Goa Indian there is somewhere to fit your every craving (Don’t worry, it also has a Nandos). Fancy a smaller bite to eat? Take a look at the amazing independent coffee shops around.
Overall, Headingley is a great choice for your second/ third year home, with an abundance of student activity, there won’t be an evening where there is nothing to do.
